A man in his 60s was sentenced to prison for blocking a crowded alley with an iron stake because it was his property, causing injuries to neighbors.
According to the legal community on the 27th, Chief Judge Choi Seok-jin of the 11th Criminal Division of the Daejeon District Court sentenced Mr. A (63), who was indicted on charges of general obstruction of traffic and causing injury, to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
In April 2019, Mr. A installed a structure connected to 40cm wide scaffolding in a 2m wide alley next to his house in Yeonseo-myeon, Sejong City, obstructing traffic.
In May 2021, an additional 70cm wide pipe was connected, and five months later, flower pots and beehives were placed next to it. In April 2022, an iron stake was driven into the middle of the remaining 1m empty road and cement was poured to secure it. I even fixed it.

Meanwhile, Mr. A was sentenced to a summary order of 3 million won in fines for traffic obstruction committed in 2019 and 2021, and was sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 300,000 won, but installed iron stakes again. He did this because he owned the alley land.
