Chelsea is preparing to recruit a striker again.
British media outlet 90min reported on the 15th (Korean time), “Chelsea먹튀검증, who are not satisfied with the signing of Nicolas Jackson, will pursue the signing of Ivan Toni in the January transfer market.”
Chelsea succeeded in strengthening its strength on a large scale this summer. They predicted a revival this season by recruiting high-quality resources such as Jackson, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Rabia, and Christopher Nkunku.
It was not a team that could be 100% satisfactory. There was a lack of weight on the front lines. Chelsea has Jackson and Armando Broman as frontline strikers.
Even these failed to show satisfactory performance. Jackson, who was signed for 37 million euros (about 52 billion won), scored only 1 goal despite starting all 4 league games this season.
Broyaman’s situation is even worse. Manager Mauricio Pochettino is not yet considering using Brojaman. Broyaman hasn’t played a single minute this season.
The solution was to recruit new players. According to this report, Chelsea have begun weighing the possibility of signing Toni in the January transfer window.
There is no doubt about Tony’s skills. Tony proved his sharp scoring ability last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 5 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.
However, there are problems outside of soccer. Tony was caught on suspicion of illegal gambling last season. Due to the resulting disciplinary action, he will be unable to compete until January 16th of next year.
Chelsea doesn’t seem to care much. The media said, “Coach Pochettino wants a proven striker. “There is a high possibility that we will pursue Tony’s recruitment,” he predicted.
