It is attracting attention after it was revealed that President Bongo, who was ousted in 먹튀검증a military coup in Gabon, Africa, previously appeared on MBC’s popular entertainment program ‘Infinite Challenge’.
In a broadcast eight years ago, comedian Jeong Jun-ha met President Bongo while delivering Korean food to a Korean who was working as the head of Gabon’s presidential security office.
President Bongo shook hands with Jeong Jun-ha and also shouted the Infinite Challenge slogan together.
Gabon’s President Ali Bongo has ruled Gabon for the past 14 years, coming back to power following his father Omar’s long reign of 42 years.
However, President Bongo is currently under house arrest after being arrested by the military that staged the coup.
Military leadership said through state broadcasting on the 30th (local time), “President Ali Bongo has been arrested on charges of treason and has been placed under house arrest, surrounded by his family and doctors.”
Meanwhile, the military announced on the 31st that General Bris Oligwi Nguma, the military leader who ousted President Bongo in a coup, will be inaugurated as interim president.
General Nguma’s inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Constitutional Court on the 4th of next month.
“We will keep all our promises at home and abroad, and we will establish transitional institutions step by step,” military spokesman Colonel Ulrich Manpumbia told state television.
As a result, the 56-year long reign of President Bongo and his wife comes to an end. President Bongo ruled for 14 years from 2009, and his father, former President Omar Bongo, ruled for 42 years from 1967 to 2009.
In the future, Gabon is expected to be governed by the military-led Transitional National Institutions Reconstruction Commission ( CTRI ).
